Happy birthday

Today is a special day. It is my dad's birthday. I'm sorry, but I just couldn't think of a good enough present to give him. Dad (and Mom) gave me so much, I don't really know what I can give back. So, I'm giving Jess the present that my dad gave to me. Knowledge. He taught me how to cook, build stuff, work with electrical wiring, swear, tell bad jokes and great stories. But most importantly, he taught me how to love, how to laugh, and how to cry. I can never give him back the things he gave me, so I'm trying to pass along the knowledge and love he gave me. Happy Birthday Dad.

Time's fun when you're having flies

Yes, that is what one frog says to the other. As I sit at my computer looking at what is happening in the world, I think about all that is happening in my world. Jess will be two on Friday, I can't belive it has gone by so fast. I hope that I will remember everything that she has done when I'm old and grey. Well, I'm getting there even faster. Jess has been a great source of entertanment, laughter and education. Mel says she laughs just like me, although I have to admit she breaks into giggle fits, just like I do. I don't know where she heard about it, but one of her favorite things to say is," My hands are dirty!" I'm sure my Uncle has something to say about that. Jess loves to look at pictures. We have several displays of pictures around the house. She loves to point at people and tell us who they are. Pop-Pop, Granma, Chief, Nana, Seamus, are her favorites, but don't she knows her aunt and uncle and her cousins as well, she just has trouble with the names sometimes. All things come in time. Jess is starting to get interested in the potty now. She knows that 1, you take off pants and diaper, 2 you sit down, 3 you put a piece of toilet paper in the potty. But thats all she knows so far. Soon enough we'll be out of diapers. Soon to follow I'll post a bunch of pictures. The zoo, Jess eating crabs for the first time, pumpkin picking and a bunch of assorted picts.
